Originally from Mexico, my wife, Raquel, and I moved to Durham, NC back in 1989 when I joined IBM after completing a Master's Degree in EE at the Univeristy of Arizona. After 8 years working for IBM, I decided to join a consulting firm from Cincinnati but only for a short time and later became an independent contractor. I have been an independent consultant since then.

Raquel introduced me to the world of Porsche one day while eating pizza since she liked the look of a red 79 911 SC that parked right in front of us. Back then, I did not know anything about Porsches except that Raquel liked the look of the car. So, a year later (2001) we bought our first Porsche; a black 1991 C2 Cabriolet. An Internet buy based on the data from eBay and Carfax. Since then, anything about Porsche has been my main and only hobby. Not just shirts, caps, and souvenirs; but also I have participated at several Drivers Ed, Autocross, Shine and Show, tours/runs, Parade 2008, etc., done the Porsche Driving School in Barber Motorsports, and done the pilgrimage to Germany for both the Porsche Factory Tour in Stuttgart and driving on the Nurburghring.

I joined the Triangle Area PCA late 2005 and was the chariman for the 2006 Carolinas Fall Tour. At the petition of the senior members of the club, I accepted to become the director of the Triangle Area in January 2007 replacing Peter Sotriffer who still holds a title of Director Emeritus.

I currently own a black 2004 911 C4S.
